P4/5's earn a golden reward at Dunbar

back row (l to r)- Euan Magurran, Harry Skehel, Stuart McLaren, Murray Devine, Rory Scott, Max Love, Calum Kirkwood
front row (l to r)- Lewis McKenzie, Scott Inglis, Andy Herbert

Our season ended with medals all round as all our players excel in the sunshine at the outstanding Dunbar Tournament.

Our P7/6s fought manfully despite the loss of Max, Stuart & Harry to the P5/4 side and Jack and Donald out with fractures.  Unfortunately, Daniel Warren took on the biggest player in the tournament and ended up in hospital. Happily Daniel was released later and is fine. Daniel, Ben, Iain, Thomas Calum Sutherland  and Calum Liddell certainly deserved their medals for determination in the face of adversity.

The wee ones had a ball with Ross Inglis, Gregor Devine,  Alfie Skehel and Nicholas Peden very impressive in all their games and some great tries scored.. We clearly have future stars in the 'nursery' and they all looked very pleased with their medals.

The P5/4s stole the show.  The quality of rugby was excellent with the experienced Max, Stuart & Harry lifting the squad to new heights. Murray, Euan, Rory, Calum, Lewis, Scott, and Andy played their socks off and generally if it moved it was tackled. The crowd were very impressed and we registered our very first tournament win. As you can see from the photo (courtesy of birthday dad Paul Skehel) the gold medals reflect a golden performance,

All our players were winners on the day and they and their parents can be very proud of them.
