Dunbar Christmas Whine made with Sour Grapes!! -
Our man in East Lothian muttered disbelief whilst reading the match report in his East
Lothian Courier from the recent Broughton v Dunbar fixture at Wardie. Was the reporter, a Mr S. Grape at Wardie that day? Did he / she watch the game? I
felt obliged to reply on behalf of the club to the weekly periodical and to their credit, got a reply from the Sub-Editor the same day.

19/12/04 - A prop is for life, not just for Xmas!
- The 0-40 scoreline never looked on the cards as the 1st half produced no tries
and perhaps the worst Broughton display of the season, with some players showing
the effects of work parties and sleep deprivation or perhaps it's was the cold
weather, which has clearly affected Sarge... Full report here

Broughton go top!
In
his opening speech at Sunday Morning's SRU proposed 4 year business plan to a
packed President's Suite @ Murrayfield, SRU CEO Phil Anderton
commented on how he had been to a rugby match the previous day and watched an
exciting No 10 do the damage on the opposition. He wasn't talking about
Johnny Wilkinson either....More here
05/12/04 - Life's a
beach for Broughton -
It was business as usual for Broughton on
Saturday as another important 5 pointer was picked up on our travels,
this time at Portobello. The 5 try rout of Plucky Porty set us nicely
up for a tough encounter at home next week against Dunbar where SRU
Chief Executive Phil Anderton will be attending as Guest of Honour. Match report here

A day to remember which oh so could have
been a day to forget, saw Broughton earn a 5 pointer away to Hawick
Linden. Tries from Arrandale,
Maddison (pictured), Payne and Hart gave Broughton a bonus point as they
continued their impressive start to the season. More

flap at Inverleith -
The BATS - the acronym given to the
Broughton, (Edinburgh) Accies, Trinity (Accies), S
(erm, can someone
fill me in on what we could put for S? After this week's game, I
could think of one idea myself!) development team took the shortest journey
of the season so far to Arboretum on Saturday (27/11) to take on Inverleith in a pre-international friendly.

27/11/04 - Bonus Bowl
home tie for winner -
The winners of the Alloa v Broughton
tie in Round 2 of the BT Bowl will be rewarded with a home tie against
National 3 outfit Lismore in the 1/4 Final stage. The tie against
Alloa has been re-scheduled for 13/02/05 and the date for the 1/4 Final
tie is 12/03/05.
14/11/04 - Tigers take
Murrayfield honours!! - The Broughton P6/7's
defeated Forrester 1-0 on the International pitch on Friday evening during the
interval of the Edinburgh v Ospreys fixture. A report and pics will appear

Broughton enjoy Sunday stroll. - Broughton dusted off the cobwebs of
being a victim of inactivity from the previous week to record a 6 try
Sunday stroll against a frustrating to play against Dalkeith

Draw - The draw has been made for the 2nd
Round of the BT Bowl and Broughton have been drawn away to National 5

1/11/04 - The B.A.T.S. are born! -
A development side has been born out of the Broughton,
Edinburgh Accies & Trinity club association and they took on the Broughton
fixture at Crieff on Saturday, losing 46-10 in the end, but a worthwhile
exercise all round.

made at Murrayfield on 12/10, ensures that for a 2nd year in a row, Broughton
will play Cup rugby after Xmas!

edged out Broughton 20-36 to earn their chance of pulling out a big name

Birthday Boy Andy 'The Shark'
Turtle and Duncan 'Gromit' Nicolson both went over the whitewash as Broughton
