Broughton have landed a home tie against
one of National League 4's in-form sides Lenzie in Round 2 of the BT
Cup.
The Glasgow North-East based outfit
winning National 5 West last season and have
started the current campaign where they left off last year notching up
over 100 points in their opening two league fixtures including a 72-0
humping of one of our former National 5 (East) rivals Earlston.
Lenzie's path to round 2 was secured by a
44-14 victory over National 5 outfit Crieff & Strathearn
It's almost a case of deja vu for
Broughton as last season we faced National 4 form side Cumnock, complete
with 4 Ayr 1st team players to bolster their side, albeit in Round 2 of
the Bowl. The result on the day didn't favour us but with a stronger
squad this season, we can prove that we are more than capable playing at
a higher level.
The match will be played on Saturday
October 9th with a 3pm kick-off.
