The 58-12 scoreline slightly flattered Broughton in a pre-season friendly against Liberton played in conditions akin to those in Athens (well, it was hot and sunny at least!).

10 tries in total (and it should have been 11 if 'Hands Brown' had caught Hamish's pass when the easier offload to Dan might have been the best solution!) put a gloss on a game which threatened to spill over on a couple of occasions as the temperature increased on and off the field.

For the record, the try scorers were Hat-Trick hero(?) Jim Rinaldi and singles for Mark Brown, Robert Malcolm, Dan Arrandale, Stan Smith, Kerry Sargeant, Jamie Fraser (complete with 4 conversions) and the best of the scores came after Duncan Nicolson ran through the tired visitors defence (albeit downhill, eh Duncan!) and passed inside to Andy Turtle who ran in from a full, lets say 30 yards, to score under the sticks.

Biggest disappointment of the day came in the Clubhouse whilst watching the Olympics when news was broken to Bubba that BBC Sports presenter Claire Balding (pictured below) came out last year.
